How Long?

It depends, but sessions lasting 1-5 minutes are sufficient. The colder the water, the shorter duration session you may require. And as your body becomes more adapted over time, session length may increase as well.

How Frequent?

2-4 sessions per week is the sweet spot, with a goal of 11 cumulative minutes per week total. This is good, solid, and sustainable protocol to derive the maximum benefits.

How Cold?

The general rule of thumb is “uncomfortably cold yet safe,” and this varies for each individual. Our cold plunge temps are maintained at or near 45 degrees fahrenheit.

Day or Night?

Cold exposure wakes you up since your body temperature rises after a cold plunge. It's best to do it in the morning or during the day. While it's okay to do it at night, it might disrupt your sleep if done too close to bedtime.
